The Revolution Church

David L. Jones graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Communication from Houghton College, Houghton, NY; and, with a Masters of Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN.

Following his graduation, he received a call to Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, E. Pittsburgh, PA, where he has served as lead pastor since 1990. In that time, he has started Kidz’ Club (a summer Bible Club for youth); the summer lunch program (which feeds 100 youth breakfast and lunch daily); Skills for Life for Youth, Inc. (an after school program for at-risk youth); the Service of Joy! (a contemporary service reaching families with children); Kidz’ Church (worship for unchurched youth); The Rejoice! Ministries (Holy Trinity’s Publishing Ministries); Holy Trinity Services, Inc. (a for-profit corporation whose profits are donated to Holy Trinity’s children’s outreach); The Revolution Church (an alternative worship opportunity for those who have become disenfranchised with the traditional church); the Gospel Worship Service (a worship service geared to a racially mixed congregation); and, six church bands (Rejoice!, Emmaus, Splintered, Chocolate Sundae Jesus, The Vespers Band, and Immersion). David’s sermons are available at our website, and are downloaded as often as 10,000 times per month, and are in use by mission congregations in countries as far away as Saudi Arabia and China.

In addition to serving as pastor, David is athletic director and head track and field coach at Trinity Christian School, Forest Hills, PA; he is the lead singer and song-writer the David Jones Band
